Remote Monitoring

Lightweight agents watch disk, backups, patches and security around the clock — turning problems into tickets before you feel them.

Security & EDR

Managed endpoint detection, MFA enforcement and email filtering as a baseline condition of every managed environment.

Backup & Recovery

Monitored endpoint and server backups with quarterly restore testing — because an untested backup isn't a backup.

A living record of every client — topology, assets, licenses, vendors and vaulted credentials — from day one of onboarding.

Why Blue View

The gap nobody else on the Cape covers

Enterprise-grade process and tooling — delivered by someone physically on the Cape, at a price built for the local small-business market.

The local "computer guy"

  • No SLAs or response-time promises
  • No monitoring — reactive only
  • Undocumented, single point of failure
  • Low cost, local trust

Blue View

  • Contractual SLAs, P1–P4 severity
  • Proactive 24/7 RMM monitoring
  • Fully documented environments
  • On the Cape — fast on-site response

Mainland Boston MSPs

  • Formal stack & SLAs
  • Treats the Cape as drive-time penalty
  • Remote-first, limited on-site
  • Boston-metro overhead in the price
How it works

Every request becomes a tracked ticket

No work happens off-ticket. From an automated alert or a phone call, everything is logged, timed, communicated and documented — then rolled up into your quarterly review.

1

Intake & triage

A ticket is created from a monitoring alert, portal, email or call — then assigned a severity that starts the response clock.

2

Diagnose & resolve

Work and time are logged on the ticket, with status updates at every checkpoint. No silent tickets, ever.

3

Confirm & document

You confirm the fix, and any configuration change is immediately written into your documentation — not left as tribal knowledge.

4

Review & improve

Closed tickets feed a quarterly Technology Business Review covering assets, risks, recurring issues and budget planning.

The Cape & beyond

We're based on Cape Cod and cover the whole of Barnstable County — but we're glad to work with clients off-Cape and across the South Shore too, up to 100 miles from our home base. Travel fees are calculated by real drive distance, because straight-line distance is a poor proxy for actual drive time.

About

Built by an engineer, not a call center

Blue View Computer Solutions is founded by Connor Jay, a Network Systems Engineer with a B.S. in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity and years of hands-on experience at established MSPs. Our team holds multiple industry certifications.

That means the same rigor a mainland firm brings: formal scopes of work, ticketing, monitoring and documented SLAs, but delivered by a local team who answers the phone and shows up. A dedicated lab network is used to validate every tool and configuration before it ever touches a client environment.

The long-term vision: grow Blue View further into a regional MSP for Cape Cod and the South Shore, anchored by proactive service and genuine local relationships.

FAQ

Common questions

We've got answers. Don't see your question? Just ask, we're happy to help.

What areas of Cape Cod do you serve?
All of Barnstable County — the Upper, Mid, and Lower Cape — including Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth, Mashpee, Barnstable, Hyannis, Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown. We're also glad to work with clients off-Cape and across the South Shore, up to 100 miles from our home base (Zone 4, $70–$100 travel). Travel fees are always calculated by real drive distance.
Do you offer on-site and same-day support?
Yes. Because we're based on the Cape, we can be on-site quickly rather than treating the Cape as drive-time overflow. Managed clients get contractual response times — 30 minutes for critical issues during business hours.
How much do managed IT services cost?
Managed Services run about $125–$175 per user per month, all-inclusive, with server coverage from $100–$175 per server. Residential help is a $45 minimum plus $85–$110/hour and a distance-based travel fee. See pricing for the full breakdown — final pricing is scoped to your environment.
Do you support homes and home offices, or only businesses?
Both. Homes and home offices are served on a simple per-visit basis — no subscription. You call when something's wrong and pay for the visit, with a transparent distance-based travel fee.
What's the difference between break-fix and managed IT?
Break-fix means you call only after something breaks and pay by the hour. Managed IT is a flat monthly fee for continuous monitoring, patching, security and backups — so problems are prevented or caught early. We break it down in this article.
Do you work with practices that need HIPAA support?
Yes. We build a HIPAA-conscious baseline — MFA, encryption, managed EDR, patching, tested backups and logged remote access — under a signed Business Associate Agreement, with documentation for your compliance file. Read our HIPAA IT checklist.
We already have an IT person — can you still help?
Absolutely. Our Co-Managed IT service backs up your internal contact with escalation support, specialist project skills, and after-hours or vacation coverage — scoped per client, without you hiring more headcount.
